Flicflac

Since my work placement at DraftFCB, I have been in contact with the BTL project manager who has recently left DRAFTFCB and started her own freelance agency called Flicflac. She has confirmed that I can work with her which is an exciting prospect. I'm really relieved to know that I will at least be able to get a 'foot in the door' as I arrive as I didn't want to go over to Cape Town without having any job opportunities. My plans are to work with Flicflac whilst applying to other agencies in Cape Town and see where these options take me.

Print based portfolio

It's been really helpful getting feedback from visiting professionals, and I feel more confident with the presentation of my portfolio.

Website

I've been setting up my website for my portfolio, which has been interesting to get to grips with. So far my website is very simple, but I'm still learning how to improve the layout and possible functions.

Agencies in Cape Town

Jupiter Drawing Room

I've been in contact with Blacksheep studios since dissertation research. They are a small agency which offer a range of skills such as brand management, illustration, graphic design, websites, corporate identity & branding and logo design. It would be beneficial to work in an agency with such variety because this would allow me to learn more from the other designers whilst contributing my strengths.

Saatchi & Saatchi, Cape Town:

At Pace is an agency which specialises in both design and advertising which I think is a perfect combination for what I want to get into. I admire their work and the conceptually led design entailed.

CV

Letterhead

Using the same design from the business card, I created the below letterheads; the first with only one finger print & the other with two in order to experiment with the way in which the page would be held.

Business card amendments

I've changed around the fingerprints so that the front and back match up to how they would sit if the card was held by the viewer. I've also included my contact email address rather than my blog address.
